Time away

It's that time of year again!
I am away and out of touch for the next couple of weeks.
I am resting, spending time with my loved ones and...
GETTING MARRIED!

I will be responding to emails and calls when I return December 15th.

Signing off for the last time as Anne McGowan... :)

Bald Head Island Wedding/ Vanessa and Josh

Vanessa and Josh were married in October on Bald Head Island.
Fall is a beautiful time here- it's quiet and still warm enough to hit the beach.
It's absolutely my favorite time of year on the island.
I love the deep purples that Vanessa had her girls in-
the gorgeous bouquets and event design from Salt Harbor completed the clean look to this wedding.
Notice the draping from the ceilings to the the tent walls in the Harbourside Pavilion- it's such a beautiful detail. The light is so dreamy coming through at sunset....you can see it so well in the images of Josh and Vanessa cutting their cake.
Every bride should consider this look :)

I loved the Josh's mom waited outside of the chapel for the girls to arrive. Josh's dad performed the ceremony and was busy preparing with the guys.
It's so meaningful when someone with whom you have a relationship is a part of the service- and this one was especially wonderful.

Thanks for such a great time- it was wonderful to be a part of the day!

Bald Head Island Wedding/ Jessica + William

This wedding- THIS wedding was a BLAST!

I don't think I've seen a party with this much energy in ages. Now don't get me wrong- my weddings are all fun but there are different levels to everything- right?
From the first minute I began this day with Jessica she was nothing but laughter and huge grins.
When we entered the Bald Head Island Club the band, Legends of the Beach, was warming up with Jess' and William's first dance song. Jess and the girls ran into the Ocean Room and began an impromptu first dance of their own... this is when I knew that the party would not disappoint :)

There were so many lovely and also fun touches to this day.
From the grandmother's garters and purse- the bow ties that the guys wore,
and the handkerchief and jewelry wrapped into Jessica's bouquet by Kim Fisher-
Kim provided all of the design talent and lovely details for the day. Designer extraordinaire!

At the end of the night William and Jessica broke out Ray Bans for everyone to wear - it was such a fun way to bring everyone together on the dance floor for the last bit of the evening.
Then to send Jess and William off in style, Kim brought in sweet, monogrammed, paper cones filled rose petals to be handed to all the guests for tossing. It was a surprise for Jessica and William and such a thoughtful way to say goodnight.

Thanks everyone- I loved every minute :)
