Rebecca and Patrick

Rebecca and Patrick were married at Ocean Ridge Plantation the last Saturday of
October- so I am a little late to post- but better late than never.
The weather was iffey all day but cleared enough to give me perfect overcast skies for our quick portrait session.
I was in good company all day- Rebecca is a UVA girl and I went to school right over the mountain from her so, it was great to be with a bunch of Virginia girls!
Patrick is from right here in NC so it was a good mix with lot of energy.

MJ and Scott's engagement

November already! I can't believe it.
I don't know if it's because it has been so warm (until today!) or if I am having too much fun.

This session was definitely a good time.
MJ and Scott are hilarious. Their laughter is absolutely contagious and I can't wait until the wedding day for more.
They were up for anything so we took a walk downtown and then headed to the south end of

Wrightsville with their pooches Chipper and Nugget.
Chipper was just that (umm... really chipper) and we had to 'release the hounds' for the beach shoot.
We ended up right at sunset with this last shot.
There nothing like the beach at the very end of the day...

Colby's senior session

Colby was my little weather barometer for a few weeks. Every time we scheduled a session- IT RAINED- and we're in a drought so neither of us could really complain.
We cruised around town and shot a few photos at my favorite places. Here is some of the fun we had

Katie's Senior Session

Katie was so funny to be with! She had to get up really early for our shoot on a Virginia horse farm. We started about 7:30 am and she cracked jokes the whole time.
It was worth getting up early on a Saturday to capture the right light. Check out the back lighting with Tellin (her horse)

Lynn and Greg The Blockade Runner

Lynn and Greg were a blast to spend a day with- the wedding day was perfect- and everything ran so smoothly and right on time thanks to Miss Jane.

Lynn has old fashioned taste with a flair and her wedding was a great reflection of it. From the embroidery on her gown to the tea roses in her bouquet to the rockin band that kept everyone on their feet all night.

Lynn and Greg had tables outside on the lawn as well as in the ballroom- part of guests were lucky enough to dine by the ocean - not too shabby!

Jen and Crawford Wilmington

Jen and Crawford- The Balcony

The ceremony was at Pearsall on Market- the little church with the palm trees.
The reception was downtown at The Balcony on Dock and rocked well into the evening.
Too bad they had to get up so early to head to Costa Rica!

Jennifer and Tripp Ocean Isle Beach

Jen and Tripp had a small and thoughtful 'to do' on the beach- with a small gathering of those people closest to them. Tripp's 90+ grandfather and Jen's aunt walked her down the aisle.
