Lindsay and Cole/ Charlottesville VA Wedding Photographer

Wow. Where do I begin...This is going to be a long post. So here goes..

Lindsay has been a friend since I first worked with her during her senior year of highschool for portraits on BHI... and now here she is getting married. Not only did I work with her- she worked with me for a few summers in college and she's a tough act to follow.

Whew. Time flies.


I only wish I had the right words to describe the incredible family that she has- the fantastic friends that I have seen her with over the years and what a gracious young woman she has grown to be. We should all be so lucky :) . Sometimes words just aren't enough.

Lindsay and Cole were married at Keswick Hall
The event was put together by her mom Gina and Ayran Kanter of Evenscapes

Lindsay's bridesmaid's luncheon was like a fairytale.

After the luncheon the groom and groomsmen joined everyone for a wine tasting...

And then on to the rehearsal

Of course dinner was served

Lindsay and Cole placed photos of them with their wedding party throughout the years at each place setting. This is how they found their seats!

And then there was a dessert reception back at Keswick with 200 excited folks waiting
and, of course...


as a surprise, UVA's Virginia Gentlemen came to serenade the bride

After a few songs we were all entertained with an incredible slideshow that Lindsay's dad put together. I was even teary. Now I just have to say- a good slideshow can be hard to pull off and keep the attention of over 200 people but, Paul's a pro and not a soul could take their attention away. Kudos!

Ariel and Ryan

Ariel and Ryan were married in October at St. Thomas Preservation Hall
Ariel's makeup was provided by Artistry by Sandy and the dress was styled by Ariel herself. She added the the pop or red to her gown -

She and Ryan are an awesome couple with fantastic taste in music- Ryan spins on the side and his music library is pretty vast.
He actually designed all of the playlists for the entire evening and everyone rocked out.

This was such a great experience I enjoyed their families so much.

Baby Meryn

Beautiful Baby Meryn!
She was so peaceful and happy.
Meryn was about 4 weeks when I worked with her- this explains how content Tyson ( the Boxer) was to curl up with her. It was as if he was saying- 'this is ALL I have wanted to do for the last month!'
I couldn't believe how well this worked out! Tyson was curled up with the baby for a good 10 minutes- and so wonderful the entire time.
Congrats on to Brian and Brooke for raising such a wonderful furbaby-
I can only image how Meryn will be.

Becca and Maddie

Becca has been a part of our family for as long as I can remember.
Her grandmother is one of my mother's closest friends and for the last few years they have been a part of our Thanksgiving feast.
This year Becca was old enough to do a full shoot- so here is a bit of our fun.
She has an amazing look- to be so young, she is fantastic in front of the camera. As much as I enjoy her smiling and laughing the serious side of her is just as fabulous.

Baby M

I love opportunities like this.
After coming off of a big wedding season it's always nice to shoot a session like this.
Maternity shoots can be very personal so I am going to let mom remain a mystery to you all.
Baby M is due November 11- we'll see if she makes it that long.
