2009/ Bald Head Island Wedding photographer

Here is a glimpse into a few of last year's weddings- so many wonderful couples to share!
I was going to pull a few faves from each wedding but I got a little overwhelmed so here is a condensed version of 2009- I am so excited about 2010!

Sara and Drew
We did have a little rain- but we also had a lot of luck with the weather clearing up - no kidding- as Jennifer and Jack said I do.
It rained BUCKETS all day and made it pretty memorable for all of us involved.

But then... the skies cleared and we stole a few moments away from everyone.
The same happened with Anna and Eric- TONS of rain all day on their one little section of the beach and magically it stopped 30 minutes before the ceremony time. These kids should play the lottery!
Justin and Eddie- perfect weather :)

Adrienne and Willson, Chris and Rhyne, Anna and Eric, Sarah and Drew

Some relaxed 'party' photos

Now I have to get packing- headed to AZ for a couple of fun shoots!
Thanks for looking!

Alicia and Arash/ Southport NC wedding photographer

This was Alicia and Arash's THIRD wedding. To EACH OTHER! They had two small weddings- that included one in Mexico, but, as Arash put it... with this one he was so excited to 'get the hardware' that goes along with a wedding ceremony. I loved it!
What an incredible day in October. Such a fun and easy going group to spend a day with.
I was so happy to be a part of it!
The wedding and reception was held at the Southport Community Building. Which, I just have to let you know, is a gorgeous location on the water where the Cape Fear River begins to flow into the Atlantic.

The very talented
Jennifer Banks provided makeup -
Catering was provided by Coastal Catering and Events. Flowers and decor by Wine and Roses.
DJ Rock kept us on out feet all night.
Thanks everyone!!!

The City Club/ Wilmington NC Wedding photographer

This was a fun shoot between myself, The City Club at de Rosset and the very talented crew from Salt Harbor Designs (thanks Jen!)
We had a great team of talent come together to make all of the details perfect for the Victorian style shoot. The City Club was built in 1841 so Jen used this as her inspiration-

Thanks to A Carolina Wedding for the gowns ( thanks Tonya and Randall).
The lovely cake was created by Niki MacRae of Niki's Cakes Kelly Burgess of the Island Retreat Spa and Salon as well as Wards for fantastic hair and to Natural Elegance by Phoebe who provided makeup. Phoebe is coming out with her own line of makeup this spring- Look for it soon! to contact Phoebe directly

And also a big thanks to Renee and Eddie- our models
you all made it a great day

Drew and Stuart/ Bald Head Island Wedding Photography

I loved this wedding
I loved this dress and I loved this couple!
Here is a peek at Drew and Stuart.
The event was held on Bald Head Island in the fall.
Kim Fisher wowed us again with her incredible talent for floral design. The bouquet was just perfect for Drew
Thanks to Jane Roberson for keeping everyone on track!

Southport Snow

Can you believe it? Neither could we!
This is our first snow in our new home- we've been here 1 year this month. We couldn't have even thought of a more beautiful winter welcome :)

The shot below is of a cup we put out about 9 pm Friday evening.
This was taken at 930 Saturday morning!

This is the marsh across from our home

I couldn't resist ;)

More of the marsh- this leads to the intracoastal - My dad couldn't even sneak up on us today :)And of course- wrapping up the blog post is....The obligatory car shot.
