Bald Head Island Wedding/ Jessica + William

This wedding- THIS wedding was a BLAST!

I don't think I've seen a party with this much energy in ages. Now don't get me wrong- my weddings are all fun but there are different levels to everything- right?
From the first minute I began this day with Jessica she was nothing but laughter and huge grins.
When we entered the Bald Head Island Club the band, Legends of the Beach, was warming up with Jess' and William's first dance song. Jess and the girls ran into the Ocean Room and began an impromptu first dance of their own... this is when I knew that the party would not disappoint :)

There were so many lovely and also fun touches to this day.
From the grandmother's garters and purse- the bow ties that the guys wore,
and the handkerchief and jewelry wrapped into Jessica's bouquet by Kim Fisher-
Kim provided all of the design talent and lovely details for the day. Designer extraordinaire!

At the end of the night William and Jessica broke out Ray Bans for everyone to wear - it was such a fun way to bring everyone together on the dance floor for the last bit of the evening.
Then to send Jess and William off in style, Kim brought in sweet, monogrammed, paper cones filled rose petals to be handed to all the guests for tossing. It was a surprise for Jessica and William and such a thoughtful way to say goodnight.

Thanks everyone- I loved every minute :)

Bald Head Island Wedding Photography- Kate + Jeremy

Kate and Jeremy - Married on Bald Head Island at the Village Chapel- with a rockin reception at the Bald Head Island Club.
Thanks to Shauna at the club for all the hard work and and a great time for the happy couple!

All weekend the weather forecast was gloomy, but the skies cleared and the day was so beautiful...

I loved that as soon as Kate stepped from the cart her minister met her for prayer. It was one of the most meaningful services I have experienced... I hope he knows how many folks he touched.

Thanks for a wonderful evening on the island- I can't imagine a better way to spend a Sunday.

Sarah and Michael/Va Wedding Photographer

Sarah and Michael are so close to my heart.

I have known Sarah since she napped in my bed as a little girl -
my mother taught her in preschool, her sister and I grew up together, her mother is someone whose friendship is unmatched. I could go on here for a while...
I only met Michael last year but could tell that this was the right person for Sarah to spend her life with. He comes from such a wonderful family (thanks, Judy, for the pickles!) and has an enormous, gigantic, love filled heart.

They were married at The Gathering Place in Sutherlin, Va.
A truly fitting atmosphere for these two.

Enjoy-

My summer has been packed with fun - I can't tell you how much I have enjoyed my nightly sessions on the beach. I've made some new friends, seen a lot of old friends and watched many children grow up-

NC Engagement Photography/ Lindsey + Tyler

Lindsey and Tyler- to be married August 6th on Bald Head Island.
We met in Southport the Friday before the 4th and found a few hidden places away from all of the action. Southport is NC's capital of the 4th of July so our town swells with thousands of folks visiting for the festival. We managed to find some nice spots without much company :)
