Sarah and Ryen /bald head island engagement photographer

Meet Sarah and Ryen and you meet everything that you could ever want from a great love- laughter, ease, thoughtfulness, and that's the beginning...
I have known Sarah's family for quite a few years now- so it's no surprise that she would be marrying someone as great as Ryen.
I shot this session over Easter weekend - the FIRST perfect weekend of the year!
I really can't wait to photograph the wedding in June.
Can you begin to imagine?
So lovely...

KIDS! NC Beach Photograper/Phoenix Photographer

This week I am excited to post a few peeks at the children I have worked with this spring- and they all involve a cross country journey in one way or another.

The first collages are of Banks- I met his dad, Scott on a plane back from California- he was so excited about being a dad so I just had to meet this little guy and his mom.

Introducing Kenzie and Harper- Harper is 2 and Kenzie was just one month old the day I photographed her. I met their mom Abby through a new friend Melissa , whom I met in California ( I know, it's a mouthful!). Kenzie and Harper live in Scottsdale and I just happened to be in town for a few days. I was so excited to be able to work with them- they were so fun. Little Harper, with the fiery red hair, was such an easy going little kid- Thanks Abby, for letting me into your home!

I had one more session while I was in the Scottsdale area- here are Jack and Andrew- these guys were awesome! I only hope all of my sessions go as well this summer. They were so fun- and Jack had lost that bottom tooth- I just loved it.
We all had such a good time-
Thanks for such a wonderful experience out west!!!

The Bigelow's Home... and it can be all yours :)/ Southport NC commercial photography

Jason and Kelsey are fantastically talented- Jason is an architect for BHI Limited and also has his own design firm- The Bigelow Studio. Kelsey is an insanely artistic creative director and stylist- and a full time mom to two lovely little ladies... you'll see.
Their home in SOUTHPORT on Clarendon Ave. is for sale- Jason and Kelsey designed their home with air in mind- I think you will see the light and beauty of it. If you are interested, you may email Kelsey for info about the Cape Fear River Modern Cottage ( little girls not included)

2009/ Bald Head Island Wedding photographer

Here is a glimpse into a few of last year's weddings- so many wonderful couples to share!
I was going to pull a few faves from each wedding but I got a little overwhelmed so here is a condensed version of 2009- I am so excited about 2010!

Sara and Drew
We did have a little rain- but we also had a lot of luck with the weather clearing up - no kidding- as Jennifer and Jack said I do.
It rained BUCKETS all day and made it pretty memorable for all of us involved.

But then... the skies cleared and we stole a few moments away from everyone.
The same happened with Anna and Eric- TONS of rain all day on their one little section of the beach and magically it stopped 30 minutes before the ceremony time. These kids should play the lottery!
Justin and Eddie- perfect weather :)

Some relaxed 'party' photos

Now I have to get packing- headed to AZ for a couple of fun shoots!
Thanks for looking!

Alicia and Arash/ Southport NC wedding photographer

This was Alicia and Arash's THIRD wedding. To EACH OTHER! They had two small weddings- that included one in Mexico, but, as Arash put it... with this one he was so excited to 'get the hardware' that goes along with a wedding ceremony. I loved it!
What an incredible day in October. Such a fun and easy going group to spend a day with.
I was so happy to be a part of it!
The wedding and reception was held at the Southport Community Building. Which, I just have to let you know, is a gorgeous location on the water where the Cape Fear River begins to flow into the Atlantic.

The very talented
Jennifer Banks provided makeup -
Catering was provided by Coastal Catering and Events. Flowers and decor by Wine and Roses.
DJ Rock kept us on out feet all night.
Thanks everyone!!!
